Patricia Highsmith (born January 19, 1921 in Fort Worth, Texas) was a novelist and writer who was best known for her 1950 psychological thriller novel, “Strangers on a Train,” and including five novels featuring the character Tom Ripley. Patricia died on February 4, 1995 and her death was because of lung cancer and aplastic anemia. She died at age 74.
