Penny Singleton (born September 15, 1908 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was a film actress, TV actress, and radio personality who was best known for her portrayal as the comic strip heroine, “Blondie Bumstead” from 1938 until 1950 and for her voice role as Jane Jetson in the 1960’s animated sci-fi series, “The Jetsons.” Penny died on November 12, 2003 and her death was because of respiratory failure. She died at age 95.
