Peter Bradford Benchley (born May 8, 1940 in New York City, New York) was an Author, Screenwriter, and Activist who was best known for his best selling novel “Jaws,” including “The Deep,” “The Island,” “Beast,” and “White Shark.” Peter died on February 11, 2006 and his death was because of pulmonary fibrosis. He died at age 65.
