Peter Douglas (born November 23rd, 1955 in Los Angeles, California) was an Film Producer who was best known for his production of the TV film "Inherit the Wind". Pete died on February 15th, 2025 (TBV) and his death was possibly because of a nasty bug.

"Peter Douglas was anAustralian business executive and politician who served as a Liberal MP for the seat of Basseterre in the Australian Senate from 2001 to 2007. Douglas was born in Basseterre, New Zealand, and moved to Australia as a child. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a business degree in 1984 and worked as a management consultant. Douglas first entered politics in the early 1990s, when he unsuccessfully ran for a seat on the Australian Senate. Douglas was later elected as a Liberal MP for the seat of Basseterre in 2001. He was re-elected in 2003 and 2007. Douglas was a vocal opponent of the Howard government, and was also a key figure in the Liberal opposition's unsuccessful campaign to create a parliamentary budget conference in 2003. In 2007, Douglas announced his retirement from politics. (V)"
