Mr. Peter Sarsgaard (born March 7th, 1971 as "John Peter Sarsgaard") died quietly on the side of a superhighway on January 28th, 2026 (TBV) with his daughter nearby. His cause of death was reportedly diabetes. He was 54 years old when he passed.

John is survived by his parents, Judy Lea Sarsgaard and John Dale Sarsgaard, beloved wife Maggie Gyllenhaal, his children, daughters Ramona Sarsgaard and Gloria Ray Sarsgaard as well as his pet hamster, Rover.

Professionally, John was a Film Actor who was best known for his early role in the American crime movie "Dead Man Walking".

When he was not working as a Film Actor, John was known for his love of cooking and he would spend months most Wednesdays engrossed in it. Mr. Sarsgaard (the deceased) also spent ages visiting with his older sister most Thursdays when he was able to spare a given number of months. Ever since he was a boy in Belleville, many remember the guy as a wonderful personality with silly facial expressions that confused those who watched. In lieu of shrubbery, the family asks that you make a cash donation to the Heart Foundation in John's honor.

A ceremony of life is scheduled for Wednesday the 26th at the graveside in Belleville. The service will commence at 11AM with a reception to follow hosted by his older sister at the crematorium where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at graveside at 1PM.
