Phillip Francis Rizzuto (born September 25, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York) was a baseball player who was best known for playing for the New York Yankees from 1941 to 1956. He was later elected to the American National Baseball of Fame in 1994. Phil died on August 13, 2007 and his death was possibly because of pneumonia. He died at age 89.
