Mr. R Lee Ermey (born March 24th, 1944 as "Ronald Lee Ermey") died in hospital on April 15th, 2018 with his wife at his side. His cause of death was officially reported to be due to Pneumonia. He was 74 years old when he passed.
Ronald is survived by his parents, Jan Ermey and Daddy Ermey, long term wife Nila Ermey. He had no children to speak of.
Professionally, Ronald was a Film-Actor who was best known for his military career and his dedication to it.
When he was not working as a Film-Actor, Ronald was known for his love of playing fighting games on the computer and he would spend most Fridays engaged in it. Mr. Ermey (also known as The Gunny) also spent a millennia visiting with his priest most fortnights when he was able to spare a dozen seconds. Ever since he was a boy in Emporia, many remember Ronald as a kook with distressing chestnuts of wisdom that engrossed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the Ermey family asks that you make a cash donation to the ASPCA in Ronald's name.
A funeral is planned for Friday the 5th at the undertaker's place in Emporia. The service will commence at 11AM with a reception to follow hosted by his wife Nila at the undertaker's where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at undertaker's at 3PM.
