Rainier Louis Henri Maxence Bertrand Grimaldi (born May 31, 1923 in ) was a royalty who was best known for ruling the Principality of Monaco for almost 56 years, making him one of the longest-ruling monarchs in European history. Prince Rainier died on April 6, 2005 and his death was because of a lung infection. He died at age 81.
