Arnold Jacob “Red” Auerbach (born September 20, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York) was a coach and sportsperson who was best known for serving as the head coach of the American, National Basketball Association with the Boston Celtics from 1940 till 1966. Red died on October 28, 2006 and his death was reportedly because of heart attack. He died at age 89.
