Richard Red Skelton (born July 18, 1913 in Vincennes, Indiana) was a TV actor and radio personality who was best known for being the host of the American TV program “The Red Skelton Show” between 1937 and 1971. Red died on September 17, 1997 and his death was because of a brief illness. He died at age 84.
