Renaldo “Obie” Benson (born June 14, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan) was a singer-songwriter who was best known for being a founding member and the bass singer of the Motown group, “Four Tops.” Renaldo died on July 1, 2005 and his death was because of lung cancer following other illnesses. He died at age 69.
