Richard Petty (born July 2nd, 1937 in Level Cross, North Carolina) was a Automobile Racer who was best known for being a talented driver. Richard may have died on March 29th, 2024 (TBV) and his death was possibly because of an accident passing on the inside. He was 86 years old.

" Richard Petty died at the age of 88 years on November 6, 2006. He was an American Motorcyclist, Band Leader, and Racing Driver who was known for his earnings in the NASCAR (National racing series) and Indy Racing League (IRL) races. He was an indentured servant to his fathersMotorsport business in their early life and took up the raceduring at the age of 12. Petty made his pro debuts in 1947 in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) where he finished third in the partnered event. He branched out into the NASCAR series the following year and by 1951 had won five races. He was the first driver to win in each of the three major touring series. He founded Petty Enterprises in 1964 and became the largest owner and driver of a NASCAR team. In 1971, he founded the Indianapolis 500 which led to him becoming the first driver to win a race in the Indianapolis seating circuit. (V)"
