Robert Ludlum (born May 25, 1927 in New York City, New York) was an author and novelist who was best known for being the creator of the fictional character, Jason Bourne from the "The Bourne Trilogy". He famously wrote 27 novels. Robert died on March 12, 2001 and his death was reportedly because of a heart attack. He died at age 73.
