Robert Pershing Wadlow (born February 22, 1918 in Alton, Illinois) was a notable person who was best known for as being the tallest man in the world being 8 feet and 11 inches. Robert died on July 15, 1940 and his death was because of autoimmune deficiency following a blood transfusion. He died at the tender age of 22.
