Robert George Young (born February 22, 1907 in Chicago, Illinois) was a TV actor, film actor, and radio personality who was best known for his leading roles as Jim Anderson, in the 1954-1960 American TV sitcom, “Father Knows Best” and his title role in the 1969-1976 drama TV series, “Marcus Welby, M.D.” Robert died on July 21, 1998 and his death was because of respiratory failure. He died quite old for the time, at age 91.
