William Rory Gallagher (born March 2, 1948 in Ballyshannon, Ireland) was a musician, singer-songwriter, and music producer who was best known for his band "Taste" and was referred to as "the greatest guitarist you've never heard of". His skills strongly influenced other popular guitarists such as Brian May and Eric Clapton. Rory died on June 14, 1995 and his death was because of a staphylococcal infection following a liver transplant. He died awfully young at age 47.
