Rosa Louise Parks (born February 4, 1913, in Tuskegee, Alabama) was an activist who was best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott. The United States Congress has honored her as "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement". Rosa died on October 24, 2005 and her death was because of natural causes. She died at age 92.
