Russell Craig “Rusty” Hamer (born February 15, 1947 in Tenafly, New Jersey) was a stage actor, TV actor and film actor who was best known for portraying Rusty Williams, the wisecracking son of entertainer Danny Williams, on the American TV situation comedy, “Make Room for Daddy". Rusty died on January 18, 1990 and his death was reportedly because of suicide by a self inflicted gunshot wound. He died young at age 42.
