Samuel Truett Cathy (born March 14, 1921 in Eatonton, Georgia) was a businessperson, author, and philanthropist who was best known for being the founder of the fast food restaurant chain, “Chick-fil-A.” S. Truett died on September 8, 2014 and his death was because of complications of diabetes. He died at the old age of 93.
