Shana Alexander (born October 6, 1925 in New York City, New York) was a journalist, writer, and columnist who was best known for becoming first woman staff writer for Life magazine and for her participation in the "Point-Counterpoint" debate segments of the American TV show "60 Minutes". Shana died on June 23, 2005 and her death was because of cancer. She died peacefully at age 79.
