Sheldon Leonard Bershad (born February 22, 1907 in Manhattan, New York) was a film actor, TV actor, and TV producer who was best known for playing gangster roles and for producing sitcoms “The Danny Thomas Show” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” Sheldon died on January 11, 1997 and his death was possibly because of natural causes. He died at age 89.
