Skeeter Davis (born December 30, 1931 in Glencoe, Kentucky) was a singer-songwriter and musician who was best known for singing crossover pop songs including her 1962 song, “The End off the World” and was part of “the Davis Sisters” as a teenager. Skeeter died on September 19, 2004 and her death was because of breast cancer. She died at age 72.
