George Robert Philips McFarland aka “Spanky” (born October 2, 1928 in Dallas, Texas) was a TV actor (child actor) and film actor who was best known for his role as Spanky in the “Our Gang” series of shorts in the 1930s and 1940s. George died on June 30, 1993 and his death was reportedly because of a heart attack or an aneurysm. He quite soon died at age 64.
