David Akeman a.k.a Stringbean (born June 17, 1915 in Annville, Kentucky) was a singer-songwriter, musician ,and comedian was best known for his role as a main cast member on the hit Ameican TV show “Hee Haw” and as a member of the “Grand Ole Opry.” David died on November 10, 1973 and his death was reportedly because he was shot and killed along with his wife, Estelle by Marvin Douglas Brown. He died too soon at age 58.
