Strom Thurmond

James Strom Thurmond Sr. (born December 5, 1902 in Edgefield, South Carolina) was a politician who was best known for representing the American state of South Carolina from 1954 to 2003 and served as the 103rd governor of South Carolina from 1947 to 1951. Strom died on June 26, 2003 and his death was reportedly because of heart failure. He died at the old age of 100.
