Sun Yat-sen (born November 12, 1866 in Cuiheng, Kwangtung) was a politician and physician who was best known for as the first provisional president of the Republic of China and the first leader of the Nationalist Party of China (Kuomintang). Sun died on March 12, 1925 and his death was reportedly because of adenocarcinoma in his gallbladder which later spread to his liver. He died rather young at age 58.
