Thomas Stearns Eliot OM (born September 26, 1888 in St. Louis, Missouri) was a poet, writer, and playwright who was best known for being considered one of the 20th century’s major poets and for his work on the 1925 poem, “The Hollow Men.” T. S. died on January 4, 1965 and his death was because emphysema. He died at age 76.
