Edward James Hughes OM OBE FRSL (born August 17, 1930 in Yorkshire, England) was a poet and writer who was best known for his 1970 poem, “Crow” and for being one of the twentieth century’s greatest writers. Ted died on October 28, 1998 and his death was the result of a heart attack following colon cancer surgery. He died quite soon at age 68.
