Thomas Hardy OM (born June 2, 1840 in Stinsford, England) was a novelist, poet, and writer who was best known for being influenced both in his novels and in his poetry by Romanticism and for his 1891 novel, “Tess of the d’Urbervilles.” Thomas died on January 11, 1928 and his death was because of pleurisy. He died at age 87.
