Timothy John Russert (born May 7, 1950 in Buffalo, New York) was a journalist and lawyer who was best known for appearing for more than 16 years as the longest-serving moderator of the American TV show "Meet the Press" and was the Vice President of the American NBC News. Tim died on June 13, 2008 and his death was reportedly because of a heart attack which was caused by a ruptured cholesterol plaque. He died too soon at age 58.
