Timothy Francis Leary (born October 22, 1920 in Springfield, Massachusetts) was a physician and author who was best known for being an advocate for psychedelic drugs and was remembered as “a hero of American consciousness.” Timothy died on May 31, 1996 and his death was reportedly because of prostate cancer. He died at age 75.
