Thomas Penn Thomas (born February 25, 1929 in Portsmouth, Virginia) was a musician who was best known for being the saxophone player in the musical group "NBC Orchestra" on American talk show “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” and later became assistant director. Tommy died on April 28, 2007 and his death was because of bladder and liver cancer. He died at age 78.
