Toni Cade Bambara

Toni Cade Bambara (born March 25, 1939 in New York City, New York) was an author, filmmaker, and activist who was best known for 1971 short story, “Blues Ain’t No Mockin Bird” and for 1980 novel, “The Salt Eaters.” Toni died on December 9, 1995 and her death was because of colon cancer. She died to soon at age 56.
