Anthony David Leighton Scott (born June 21, 1944 in North Shields, United Kingdom) was a film director, film producer, and film actor who was best known for directing the films “Top Gun” and “Man on Fire.” Tony died on August 19, 2012 and his death was reportedly because he committed suicide by jumping from a bridge. He died fairly young at age 68.
