Abbott Vaughn Meader (born March 20, 1936 in Waterville, Maine) was a comedian, musician, and film actor who was best known for his 1962 comedy record, “The First Family,” which was the fast selling album in history and that won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Vaughn died on October 29, 2004 and his death was because of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He died fairly young at age 68.
