Vincent Leo Welnick (born February 21, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona) was a musician and singer-songwriter who was best known for playing the keyboard with the band “The Tubes” during the 1970s and 1980s. Later, in the 1990s he played with the American rock band, “the Grateful Dead” Vince died on June 2, 2006 and his death was reportedly because of suicide by cutting his own throat. He took his life young at age 55.
