Wallace Stevens (born October 2, 1879 in Reading, Pennsylvania) was a poet who was best known for is notable works on the 1923 poetry collection, “Harmonium, “ the 1934 poem, “The Idea of Order at Key West,” the 1937 poem, “The Man with the Blue Guitar,” the 1950 poetry collection, “The Auroras of Autumn,” and the 1942 poetry collection, “Of Modern Poetry.” Wallce died on August 2, 1955 and his death was due to stomach cancer. He died at age 75.
