William Friedkin (born August 25th, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois) was a Film Director who was best known for being instrumental with the "New Hollywood" movement that was rampant in the 1970s. William died on August 7th, 2023 and his death was reportedly due to heart failure and pneumonia. He was 87 years old when he passed away.
