William Westmoreland

William Childs Westmoreland (born March 26, 1914 in Saxon, North Carolina) was a military personnel who was the commander of the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1968 and for serving as Chief of Staff of the United States Army form 1968 to 1972. William died on July 18, 2005 and his death was because of Alzheimer’s disease. He died at age 91.
