Robert Weston Smith (born January 21, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York) was a disk jockey, radio personality, and musician who was best known for his distinctively gravelly voice and credited it for his success saying, "It's kept meat and potatoes on the table for years for Wolfman and Wolfwoman. A couple of shots of whiskey helps it". Robert died on July 1, 1995 and his death was reportedly because of a heart attack. He died too soon at age 57.
