Zach Avery

Mr. Zach Avery (born December 6th, 1986 as "Zachary Joseph Horwitz") died peacefully in jail on December 8th, 2025 (TBV) with his son nearby. His cause of death was assumed to be trip and fall accident in the gymnasium. He was 39 years old when he passed.

Zach is survived by his parents, Susan Krupitsky and Toby Avery, beloved wife Mallory Hagedorn , his two sons as well as his pet gorilla, Coco.

Professionally, Zach was a Film Actor who was best known for his conviction for defrauding investors of $227 million through a Ponzi scheme.

When he was not working as a Film Actor, Zach was known for his love of playing bingo and he would spend a lot of time practicing with his dobber. Mr. Avery (also known as Zachary Avery) also spent minutes visiting with his older sister most Sundays when he was able to spare a couple days. Ever since he was a troubled young boy in Berkeley, many remember Zach as a wonderful personality with funny looks that shocked everyone. In lieu of flowers or other shrubbery, the family asks that you make a cash donation to the Heart Foundation in Zach's honor.

A burial is scheduled for week the 7th at the graveside in Berkeley. The service will commence at noon with a reception to follow hosted by his older sister at the church where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at graveside at 10AM.
