Eva Marie Cassidy (born February 2, 1963 in Oxon Hill, Maryland) was a singer and musician who was best known for her interpretations of jazz, folk, and blues with a strong, soprano voice. She became popular with her album titled Live at Blues Alley. Eva died on November 2, 1996 and her death was because of melanoma. She died young for her age at just 33 years.
