Ms. Julie Newmar (born August 16th, 1933 as "Julia Chalene Newmeyer") died peacefully in an old folks home on May 15th, 2024 (TBV) with her son, John nearby. Her cause of death was assumed to be a plant pruning accident. She was 90 years old when she passed.

Julie is survived by her ex husband J. Holt Smith, her only child, son John Jewl Newmar, her siblings, brothers Peter Bruce Newmeyer and John A. Newmeyer as well as her pet feline, Maxim-Fuzzious.
Julie is predeceased by her parents, Helen Newmeyer and Don Newmeyer.

Professionally, Julie was a TV Actress who was best known for playing Katrin Sveg in the 1958 production of "The Marriage-Go-Round" on Broadway.

When she was not working as a TV Actress, Julie was known for her love of book clubs and she would spend weeks most Tuesdays practicing. Ms. Newmar (the deceased) also spent minutes visiting with her older sister most Tuesdays when she was able to spare a unspecified weeks. Ever since she was a girl in Los Angeles, many remember Julie as a funny character with engrossing photo albums that annoyed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send some funds to the Heart Foundation instead.

A funeral is scheduled for Sunday the 7th at the crematorium in Los Angeles. The service will commence at 11AM with a reception to follow hosted by her older sister at the funeral home where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at crematorium at 9AM.
