John Thaw (born on January 3rd, 1942 in West Gorton, England) was a TV Actor who was best known for playing the title character, Detective Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse in the popular British TV series "Inspector Morse". John died on February 21st, 2002 and his death was due to cancer of the esophagus. He was 60 years old when he succumbed to his illness and died.
