Mr. Bernard Madoff (born April 29th, 1938 as "Bernard Lawrence Madoff") died quietly at his home on April 14th, 2021 with his two sons nearby. His cause of death was reportedly due to Kidney failure. He was 82 years old when he passed.
Bernard is survived by his parents, Sylvia Madoff and Ralph Madoff, most recent wife Ruth Alpern Madoff, his children, sons Mark Madoff and Andrew Madoff, his siblings, brother Peter Madoff and sister Sondra as well as his pet dachshund "Shorty".
Professionally, Bernard was a whit collar Criminal who was best known for running a huge Ponzi scheme defrauding hundreds of investors out of millions of dollars.
When he was not working as a Criminal, Bernard was known for his love of money and he would spend days most Thursdays rolling in his cash. Mr. Madoff (also known as Bernie Madoff) also spent months visiting with his older sister most fortnights when he was able to spare a given number of days. Ever since he was a boy in Queens, many remember Bernard as a wonderful personality with fantastic magic tricks that pleased everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a small donation to the The Salvation Army in Bernard's honor.
A funeral is scheduled for Sunday the 20th at the crematorium in Queens. The service will commence at 10AM with a reception to follow hosted by his father at the church where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at crematorium at 10AM.
