Mr. George Newbern (born December 10th, 1964 as "George Young Newbern") died tragically on the side of the highway on November 1st, 2024 (TBV) with his three kids in the car. His cause of death was possibly a golfing accident. He was 59 years old when he passed.
George is survived by his parents, Betty Newbern and David Newbern, adoring wife Marietta DePrima, his three kids, as well as his pet spider, Otto.
Professionally, George was a Film-Actor who was best known for his believable role as Bryan MacKenzie in the movie "Father of the Bride".
When he was not working as a Film-Actor, George was known for his love of golfing and he would spend days most Wednesdays snoozing. Mr. Newbern (the deceased) also spent days visiting with his son most Sundays when he was able to spare a given number of days. Ever since he was a boy in Little Rock, many remember George as a party boy who made funny sounds that entertained everyone. In lieu of flowers or a casserole, the family asks that you make a cash donation to the National Firefighters Foundation or the charity of your choice in George's honor.
A funeral is scheduled for Thursday the 17th at the chapel in Little Rock. The service will commence at noon with a reception to follow hosted by his oldest friend at the crematorium where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at the hospital chapel at noon.
