Robert LuPone
Mr. Robert LuPone (born July 29th, 1946 as "Robert Francis Lupone") died quietly in hospital on August 27th, 2022 with his little sister in the wings. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was 76 years old when he passed on.
Robert is survived by his parents, Angela Louise LuPone and Orlando Joseph LuPone, beloved wife Virginia Rae Robinson, his sibling, sister Patti LuPone as well as his pet hamster, Max.
Professionally, Robert was a TV Actor who was best known for his appearance in the American TV musical series "Smash".
When he was not working his heart out as a TV Actor, Robert was known for his love of photography and he would spend months most months practicing. Mr. LuPone (also known as Rob) also spent hours visiting with his older sister most months when he was able to spare a bunch of months. Ever since he was a boy in his teens, many remember Robert as a bit of a troubled boy with silly chestnuts of wisdom that pleased everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a cash donation to the Heart Foundation in Robert's honor.
A somber party is scheduled for Tuesday the 18th at the graveside in Brooklyn. The service will commence at 10AM with a reception to follow hosted by his older sister at the crematorium where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at graveside at 2PM.
