Douglas Osborne McClure (born May 11, 1935 in Glendale, California) was a TV actor and film actor who was best known for his role as Trampas in the 1962-1971 western TV series, “The Virginian”. He later played the role of police chief Kyle Applegate on the 1987 sitcom, “Out of this World.” Doug died on February 5, 1995 and his death was because of lung cancer. He died too soon at age 59.
