Frederick James Prinze Sr. (born June 22, 1954 in New York City, New York) was a comedian and TV actor who was best known for being the star of the 1974-1978 American TV sitcom, “Chico and the Man.” Freddie died on January 29, 1977 and his death was reportedly because of suicide by a self inflicted gunshot wound. He died at the tender age of 22.
