S. Epatha Merkerson (born November 28th, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan) was an TV Actress who was best known for playing Lieutenant Anita Van Buren on the American TV police drama series "Law & Order". Epatha died on April 26th, 2024 (TBV) and her death was possibly because of an allergic reaction to a cloud of killer bees. She was 71 years old.
